Cookies and browser storage
MyBon uses cookies, localStorage and sessionStorage for different purposes. Neither membership nor acceptance of optional tracking is required to browse a QR menu. The embedded menu preview on the marketing page does not send optional visit measurements.

Necessary sessions and security
The first-party ci_session cookie supports account sessions and enquiry-form state, with a default application lifetime of two hours. csrf_cookie_name verifies form requests and also defaults to two hours. Panel access has additional inactivity and total-session checks. These necessary functions may operate even when optional tracking is rejected.

Functions you request
Signing in stores a mybon_member_auth_ record and session-start information on the device; signing out removes them. These records include member and session information, so sign out on shared devices. Favorites, saved themes and menu-introduction state support the functions you use. If enabled, dismissing an opening notice creates a thirty-minute cookie. Some birthday and recommendation-session state uses tab-specific sessionStorage. Favorites and theme records in localStorage have no general automatic expiry in the code; remove them through the feature or clear site data.

Optional visit measurement
If you allow measurement in “Privacy choices,” a first-party mybon_analytics_tab_ local record holds a random identifier for menu and product visits, presence and viewing time. The identifier has no separate automatic expiry. Withdrawing permission removes it and stops new measurements. Deleting historical server records is a separate retention/request process. Membership session functions are separate from optional visit measurement.

Optional viewed-product history
If you allow viewed products to be remembered for suggestions, mybon_behavior_ stores product views and derived category/tag interests on the device. It keeps at most sixty product-view entries and has no timed automatic deletion. Withdrawing permission removes this local history. Answers in “What’s for me?” and remembering member preferences follow that feature’s separate explanations and choices.

Managing choices
The two optional purposes can be selected separately, with accept and reject options presented together. mybon_privacy_ remembers choices, time and notice version for 180 days, after which a later visit asks again. Use “Privacy choices” in the menu to change them. You can also clear or block browser storage; doing so may remove login state, favorites and preferences. External sites linked from the menu have their own policies.
